You Pour Into Others — Who Pours Into You?
Introducing the Therapy Intensive for Helping Professionals | Deep Waters Counseling Services LLC | Launching August 2026
The Weight You Carry Every Day
You chose a life of service. As a social worker, nurse, or first responder, you show up — every single shift — for people in their most vulnerable moments. You hold space for grief, absorb trauma, and fight for others when they can't fight for themselves. But here's what no one talks about enough: who is holding space for you?
At Deep Waters Counseling Services LLC, we see you. We understand the sacred and exhausting work you do. And we believe that the helpers of this world deserve the same depth of care they so freely give to others.
That's why we're launching our Therapy Intensive for Helping Professionals in August 2026 — a dedicated, immersive therapeutic experience designed exclusively for the social workers, nurses, and first responders who give everything they have and often forget to save something for themselves.
The Burnout Crisis Among Helping Professionals Is Real
The statistics are sobering — and they likely describe someone you know, or maybe even yourself:
Approximately 45% of social workers report symptoms consistent with burnout, including emotional exhaustion and depersonalization (National Association of Social Workers).
Nurses are among the most burned-out professionals in the country, with studies showing that nearly 1 in 2 nurses report burnout, a rate that has increased significantly since 2020.
First responders experience PTSD at rates 3 to 5 times higher than the general population, yet fewer than 40% seek professional mental health support due to stigma and limited access to specialized care.
Compassion fatigue — the emotional residue of caring for those who are suffering — affects an estimated 50% of helping professionals at some point in their careers.
Caregiver burnout is linked to increased rates of depression, substance use, relationship breakdown, and career abandonment among those in service professions.
These are not personal failures. They are the predictable outcomes of systems that ask too much of too many people for too long, without adequate recovery and support. Deep Waters Counseling Services LLC was founded on the belief that healing those who heal others is not a luxury — it is a necessity.
What Is a Therapy Intensive?
A therapy intensive is not traditional weekly therapy. It is a concentrated, focused therapeutic experience that accomplishes in a matter of days what might otherwise take months of weekly sessions. Our Therapy Intensive for Helping Professionals is specifically structured around the unique stressors, traumas, and patterns that emerge in caregiving careers.
This is deep work. This is the space where you get to finally put yourself on the table.
Our August 2026 intensive is designed to help you:
Process accumulated trauma and secondary traumatic stress that builds over years of frontline work
Identify and disrupt burnout patterns before they derail your health, relationships, or career
Rebuild your sense of self beyond your professional identity
Develop sustainable practices for emotional regulation and compassion resilience
Reconnect with the purpose that brought you into your field — on your terms
Who This Is For
This intensive was built with you in mind if you are:
A licensed clinical social worker (LCSW), MSW, or case manager who feels emotionally depleted and disconnected from why you entered the field
A registered nurse, LPN, or nursing professional managing compassion fatigue, shift-related exhaustion, or grief from patient loss
A first responder — EMT, paramedic, firefighter, law enforcement officer, or dispatcher — carrying the invisible weight of what you've witnessed on the job
Any helping professional who has been telling yourself "I'm fine" for longer than you can remember
If you have been the strong one, the helper, the fixer — and you are quietly running on empty — this intensive was made for you.
